Anyways, while we were building out Vela, one of the things I wanted to have was a status page. While looking around for options, it mostly comes down to Atlassian's Statuspage. While there are a few other options (including open-source), it all wasn't really hitting me. And Atlassian? $13,000 per year was out of the picture.
The alternative: build it yourself!
